On April 22, 2025, to celebrate Earth Day, Elemental Earth Union proudly collaborated with Yorba Linda High School to host an inspiring lunchtime event that brought together creativity, education, and action—all in just 30 minutes.

With the theme “Green Begins With Us”, students gathered around tables filled with acrylic paint markers and smooth river stones, expressing their love for the Earth through vibrant, hand-painted designs. From recycling icons to leafy green trees and hopeful slogans, each stone became a miniature canvas of environmental awareness. Participants were invited to take their painted rocks home as a reminder that every small action matters.

The energy was contagious. Dozens of students stopped by, not only to paint, but also to learn about upcoming activities throughout Earth Week—mural-making, seed planting, and a hands-on trash sorting quiz. Many shared stories about their interest in environmental science or AP Environmental Studies, and several new members signed up to join our club.

This event was a reminder that environmental stewardship starts with awareness—and flourishes with community. By combining creativity and sustainability, we made Earth Day not just a moment, but the start of a movement.

We are grateful to Yorba Linda High School for supporting student-led environmental leadership, and to everyone who participated today. Together, we’re growing a greener future—one painted stone at a time.

This event would not have been possible without the support of Yorba Linda High School and the passionate creativity of our community.
