Earth Week Final Day – Growing Together, Closing Strong

2–3 minutes

April 25, 2025 | Yorba Linda High School

This week, Elemental Earth Union brought the spirit of Earth Day to life—one rock, one plant, and one shared idea at a time. Today marked the final day of our Earth Week celebration, and under the bright blue sky of Yorba Linda High School, we ended things not with a goodbye, but with growth.

A Week of Action, A Day of Reflection

Throughout the week, we painted over 100 rocks, gave away dozens of seed paper grow kits, and distributed biodegradable pens engraved with our message. But today was about more than giving—it was about looking back and recognizing what we built together.

Students returned to the booth to add final touches to their artwork, plant their last seed kits, and grab their prize from the trash sorting quiz. Many just came by to say, “Thank you.”

Final Mural & Messages

Our green banner was no longer just a tablecloth—it had transformed into a living art wall filled with messages:

  • “Protect Our Planet”
  • “We Are the Roots of Change”
  • “Thank you, Earth!”
  • And even fun doodles that now symbolized something bigger: belonging

We saw people take photos with their painted stones, show off their eco-pens, and exchange ideas for what to do next year. The sense of community was real—and growing.

Faces Behind the Movement

Behind every painted rock and organized supply box were the volunteers.

Students who gave up their lunches, stayed after school, and showed up early just to make sure this week ran smoothly. Their green lanyards may say “Volunteer,” but today, they were leaders.

To everyone who helped, participated, smiled, or simply stopped by: you made Earth Week what it was.

Looking Forward

This may be the last day of Earth Week, but it’s only the beginning for Elemental Earth Union. We’ll continue meeting, building, and growing. And next year, we’ll come back even greener.

Special Thanks

A sincere thank-you to Yorba Linda High School for supporting student-led climate action, and to Prysaic.com for helping us share our story with the world.
